Andrew Rostan

Andrew John Rostan was born in northeast Ohio and came to Chicago via Boston (Emerson College, class of ’07) and Los Angeles (Jeopardy champion, class of ’07) with a brief stopover in a Dutch castle. While studying at the University of Chicago, he was fortunate to befriend Alex and, through him, the rest of the Recorder team. In 2011 Andrew’s first graphic novel, An Elegy for Amelia Johnson, was published by Archaia Comics (now a division of Boom! Studios) and was named one of the best comics of the year by USA Today. Archaia/Boom! will publish his second book, an autobiographical work, in 2015. When not telling stories, running marathons, and searching for the finest food and drink in the land, Andrew loves being an analyst/critic for the Addison Recorder and indulging in impromptu dance breaks when writing gets just a bit tiring.
